Young Pakistanis: Bin Laden Is A CIA Creation

Good Morning America gets more than it bargained for in a feature on young people in Pakistan

An ABC news piece that ran yesterday morning attracted attention after four Pakistanis who were being interviewed about the attitudes and life of young people in Pakistan declared Osama Bin Laden to be a creation of western intelligence and stressed that Islamic extremist attitudes towards the west were virtually non existent in their country before 9/11.

ABC have since pulled the video footage from their website, but an industrious prisonplanet forum member grabbed the footage and uploaded it to youtube.

"Who is Osama Bin Laden?" One girl asked Chris Cuomo, "He's just a character created by America" she concluded.

Another of the young people, all in their twenties picked up the conversation stating "I would say that 98% of Pakistanis would follow along the same lines, they believe that Osama is basically a CIA agent who is working under cover to put over a bad image of Islam."

After looking shocked and surprised, Cuomo attempted to rescue the interview by suggesting that many people within Pakistan do indeed support the ideals of bin Laden.

Not according to a a third young Pakistani who was quick to correct the ABC host stating "To be quite honest that is a very marginalised section of Pakistan. The Islamic extremism that you find did not really exist in Pakistan pre 9/11 or pre the Musharraf government.

Of course this is not groundbreaking information, it is basic common knowledge. Bin Laden and Al Qaeda are direct creations of western intelligence as we have thoroughly documented. Al Qaeda itself was a joint CIA/ISI intelligence database of mujahudeen fighters they had recruited in the late 70s and eighties to fight the Soviet Union in Afghanistan.

People in Pakistan in particular are very well informed on this reality due to the fact that the ISI is deeply involved with such CIA activities. Bin Laden even had an ISI Running Officer , who also worked closely with the Taliban in Afghanistan who were heavily sponsored by ISI operatives before 9/11.

The head of the ISI at the time, General Mahmoud Ahmad was, according to the FBI and as confirmed by various news reports at the time , a principle financier of the 19 alleged 9/11 hijackers.

But the reaction of the ABC reporter and doubtless millions of watching Americans speaks volumes about the ingrained falsehoods that have shaped our world over the last six years.

What is in Your Vaccine?

In the taped interview (with about 6 Merck executives in the room, their nervous laughter audible in the tape) Dr. Hilleman explains how in his search for uninfected monkeys, Merck imported green monkeys from Africa. Those monkeys, it turned out, were carrying the AIDS virus: “I didn’t know we were importing AIDS.”

Dr. Hilleman also acknowledged that he discovered that the Sabine polio vaccine (manufactured by Merck) was infected with the SV-40 cancer virus. In the process of developing vaccines Merck scientists are shown to blithely disregarded public safety as they conducted massive tests exposing millions of unsuspecting people to wild viruses. Dr. Hilleman acknowledged that the cancer infected polio vaccine had been tested in massive field trials in Russia, then in the U.S.

The issues raised in this candid interview raise serious doubts about the propaganda the public has been fed about the safety of vaccines. Vaccines that have been promoted as “safe and effective” miraculous cures have been infecting (possibly) millions of people with cancer, leukaemia, and AIDS.

The interview was conducted by Dr. Edward Shorter, Professor of the History of Medicine and Professor of Psychiatry, University of Toronto. I checked the authenticity of the tape with Dr. Shorter who informed me that he did it when preparing a PBS series called “The Health Century.” Doubleday published a companion volume of the same title in 1987.

Dr. Shorter deposited the entire tape of the interview, including portions omitted from the book, along with other interviews in the National Library of Medicine.

How do You Know if Your Food is Genetically Modified?

When polled only about one-quarter of Americans report having eaten genetically modified food. However, if you randomly pick an item off your grocery store’s shelves, you have a 70 percent chance of picking a food with genetically modified (GM) ingredients. This is because at least seven out of every 10 items have been genetically modified.
If more Americans were aware of this fact, the polls would certainly turn out differently, but Americans are kept largely in the dark about GM products, and most are not aware they are eating these foods because there are no labeling requirements for GM foods. This, despite the fact that there have been no studies done with humans to show what happens when genetically modified foods are consumed, and an ABC News poll (PDF) found that 92 percent of Americans want mandatory labels on GM foods.
Even more concerning is the fact that genetically modified organisms are not easily contained. The Washington Post reported "techniques for confining genetically engineered ... organisms are still in their infancy, and far more work needs to be done to make sure the new products do not taint the food supply or wipe out important species." As a consumer, one way you can voice your resistance to these widely untested, experimental organisms is by not purchasing GM products, a task that is not easy to achieve when you consider the extent to which GM products have already saturated the American market.
There are, however, several ways to reduce your chances of eating GM foods--if you know where to look.
Buy Organic
Buying organic is currently the best way to ensure that your food has not been genetically modified. By definition, food that is certified organic must be:
Free from all GM organisms
Produced without artificial pesticides and fertilizers
From an animal reared without the routine use of antibiotics, growth promoters or other drugs
However, GM crops are becoming more and more prevalent, and the spread of GM seeds and pollen is a major concern. Even organic products may be contaminated with traces of GM elements that have been spread by wind or insects such as bees.
Read Labels
GM soybeans and corn make up the largest portion of genetically engineered crops. When looking at a product label, if any of the following ingredients are listed there’s a good chance it has come from GM corn or soy (unless it’s listed as organic):

Aside from corn and soy, other GM foods grown in the United States include cotton, canola, squash and papaya.
Look at Produce Stickers
Those little stickers on fruit and vegetables contain different PLU codes depending on whether the fruit was conventionally grown, organically grown or genetically engineered. The PLU code for conventionally grown fruit consists of four numbers, organically grown fruit five numbers prefaced by the number 9, and GM fruit five numbers prefaced by the number 8.
For example:
Conventionally grown PLU: 1022
Organically grown PLU: 91022
Genetically modified PLU: 81022
In terms of fruit, another strategy is to avoid hybrid varieties, which are fruits that have been altered by humans. Typically hybrid fruits contain more sugar than regular varieties so they taste sweeter and can be picked out because generally they don't contain seeds (seedless watermelon, seedless grapes, etc.). Although there are also seeded hybrid varieties, avoiding seedless fruits is one of the more prominent ways to avoid hybrid fruits.
Avoid Processed Foods
About 70 percent of all processed foods contain genetically modified ingredients, and the food manufacturers themselves often don’t know for sure whether their products contain GM elements. There are many reasons why processed foods are not optimal for your health--for instance they often contain trans fat, acrylamide and little nutritional value--so avoiding them will not only help you to cut back on the amount of GM foods you are consuming, but will also boost your health.

DNA database growth defended by police

More than a crime a day is being solved in Norfolk due to improvements in DNA sampling, according to police forensic experts.

Almost 50,000 people in the county are held on the national DNA database, representing 6pc of the total population. But Norfolk police last night insisted the samples are the key to solving hundreds of offences.

And while the database continues to grow by 700 people a month, Alan Gilbert, Norfolk’s head of crime command, insisted: “If you’ve got nothing to hide, you’ve got nothing to fear”.

Almost 50 suspects are found each month in the county using the database, meaning that 500-plus people who may otherwise go unpunished a brought to justice each year.

The majority are linked to volume crimes such as burglaries but there is still hope many high profile offences, such as unsolved murder cases, could be unravelled.

Only yesterday a 70-year-old man was charged with the murder of a teenage girl whose body was found in allotments in Birmingham in 1961.

Mr Gilbert said: “We are constantly refining techniques and making sure we have the best systems in place. As a result we are becoming increasingly successful in the number of cases we are able to solve using DNA evidence.

“Last year we were identifying as many as 39 suspects each month on average and this year that has increased to 49.

“A lot of these are historic cases which might otherwise go unsolved. Obviously DNA is only one part of the evidence we need to gather but it does help investigation teams focus their inquiries.

“When it comes to more serious offences, there is a real possibility that DNA will hold the vital clue. In some cases it is just a matter of time before a suspect is picked up for a minor matter and we can match them to evidence gathered on a cold case.”

In the past the national database has attracted controversy, not least because it includes people arrested for all recordable crimes including some more serious driving matters. Even once a suspect has been cleared they remain on the database.

Association of Chief Police Officer guidelines do allow people to apply for their details to be removed under exceptional circumstances. But Mr Gilbert admitted this was “very rare”.

He said: “Hundreds of crimes have been solved since the introduction of the database including many high profile cases. If somebody is arrested for a one-off offence they shouldn’t have anything to worry about.

“If however somebody has committed a serious crime or is a repeat offender then this increases the chances they will be caught.”

Earlier this year it was revealed that at least 3,500 of the people on the database in Norfolk are aged under-18 and critics added that keeping the DNA of innocent people without their consent is wrong. Nationally there are about 3.5m on the database.

Before 2001, the police could take DNA samples during investigations but had to destroy the samples and the records if the people concerned were acquitted or charges were not proceeded with.

The law was changed in 2001 to remove this requirement, and changed again in 2004 so that DNA samples could be taken from anyone arrested for a recordable offence and detained in a police station.

“Thousands” Illegally Rendered By Bush Administration for Interrogation, Torture

In violation of international and U.S. law, “thousands” of alleged terrorists have been victims of “extraordinary rendition” by the Bush Administration since 9/11, two legal scholars say. “Instead of working to bring those committing crimes against the United States to justice in U.S. courts, the Bush Administration seems intent on doing exactly the opposite---keeping such individuals away from U.S. courts, hidden in a web of secret prisons, underground interrogation cells, and in the hands of cooperative governments,” write Margaret Satterthwaite and Angela Fisher. Satterthwaite is an assistant professor of clinical law at NYU School of Law and Fisher served as assistant research scholar with the Center for Human Rights and Global Justice.

“Extraordinary renditions, whether originating in territories under U.S. control (actual or effective) or merely carried out by U.S. agents, are unlawful and in violation of international treaties to which the United States is a party,” the authors write. “Despite this clear prohibition, the Bush Administration continues to engage in this practice, using it to transfer detainees out of the reach of U.S. courts and into the realm of secret detentions and brutal interrogations.”

“Having altered the procedure from a transfer sanctioned by U.S. courts to a transfer that is extralegal, this Administration completed the transformation of extraordinary rendition from transfer to justice to transfer out of the justice system,” the authorities contend in an article titled “Tortured Logic: Renditions to Justice, Extraordinary Rendition, and Human Rights Law” published in “The Long Term View,” a journal of informed opinion published by the Massachusetts School of Law at Andover(Volume 6, No. 4).

The authors explain that extraordinary rendition is an updated form of “rendition to justice,” first secretly authorized in 1986 by President Reagan in National Security Decision Directive 207, which formalized U.S. policy to fight terrorism. It came into being, they say, because the U.S. in the 1980s did not have valid extradition treaties with countries that commonly housed terrorists or because those nations refused to give the suspects up. Under Reagan, they write, “it has never been suggested that the purpose of the program was to subject the detainees to torture or cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment. Once in the United States, the rendered individual would be treated like any other federal detainee awaiting trial.” Satterthwaite and Fisher said President George H.W. Bush authorized specific procedures for renditions in 1993 through National Security Directive 77. President Clinton, they noted, went further “emphasizing rendition as a key counter-terrorism strategy” and signing presidential decision directive PDD-39 on June 21, 1995, which stated, in part, “Return of suspects by force may be effected without the cooperation of the host government…” One outcome of the Clinton policy, the scholars write, was the rendition of Tal’at Fu’ad Qassim, an Egyptian national that had been granted asylum in Denmark and seized by the U.S. in Bosnia and transported to Egypt, where he was reportedly executed---the first known rendition by the U.S. of a victim to a third country with a record of torture. Between 1998 and 2000, the CIA rendered more than two dozen suspects, then-CIA Director George Tenet testified. In 2004, Tenet testified before Congress there had been more than 80 renditions prior to September 11, 2001.

Since 9/11, the scholars wrote, renditions have been used not to obtain jurisdiction over the suspects in order to prosecute “but instead to get an individual to talk.” Previous renditions that required approval by an inter-agency group that included the Departments of Justice and State, were now placed in the hands of the CIA, which could render suspects “without consultation.”

Satterthwaite and Fisher write extraordinary rendition is prohibited by a number of international human rights treaties the U.S. has signed, including the Convention Against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment(“CAT”), and the International Convenant on Civil and Political Rights(ICCPR, or “the Covenant”).

Both prohibit the refoulement, or transfer, of an individual to another state where the person faces the risk of torture. Both treaties require ratifying states to institute domestic laws penalizing torture and CAT specifically requires states to criminalize conspiracy and aiding and abetting in torture.

They Live Taser Saucer To Become A Reality

UN declares stun guns to be instruments of torture while Taser rep says "it's not real pain" and puts drone craft into development

One of the biggest Taser representatives outside the US base has declared the company's intention to produce and sell internationally a small airborne drone version of the weapon that can administer electrical jolts of 50,000 volts.

Antoine di Zazzo has told the AFP that his French company is "developing a mini-flying saucer like drone which could also fire Taser stun rounds on criminal suspects or rioting crowds. He expects it to be launched next year and to be sold internationally by Taser."

The idea conjures up memories of the flying saucer spy drones from the 1988 dystopian cult classic movie They Live . The opening of George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty Four also features the idea of police flying overhead and snooping into homes. Now this nightmare vision is set to become reality.

With 250,000 Taser stun guns in use all over the world from North America, Australia, Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Australia, Singapore and New Zealand, to name just a few of 70 or so countries, it hardly takes a stretch of the imagination to foresee the take up of Taser's airborne drones.

In addition we have also seen moves by police forces around the world to test and use flying drones. Most recently controversy was raised after it was discovered that Houston police have been secretly testing spy drones that use a high-powered cameras designed to look into buildings or even follow people in moving cars.

Drone Planes are not new to the United States. The military has been using drones for secret war zone surveillance for years; drones were also used to put out the California wildfires last month. The drones used for the test in Houston weigh only 40 pounds, but can carry 15 pounds more in gear. They are able to stay airborne 15 to 24 hours without landing.

Reports from June indicated that the Department of Homeland Security used a spy drone to stake out the property of income tax protestors Ed and Elaine Brown before they were arrested in September. In April the British press reported on a British amateur inventor who won a contract with the US government for a 3ft-wide flying saucer contraption, a cross between a hovercraft and a helicopter, which is being considered as a surveillance tool.

We have also recently seen drones used to keep tabs on concert goers in Britain. Such devices have since been deployed by police in areas of the UK for "tackling anti-social behaviour and public disorder". Other reports have highlighted interest in drones and testing by police departments nationwide. Some protestors are even adamant that they have witnessed tiny insect like drones in deployment at anti war rallies. Such creations are certainly in development if not already in deployment.

Taser has been mired in controversy, since the wide uptake of its stun guns by police forces, due to the level of pain the devices inflict and the amount of deaths that have occurred after their use. Last week a perfectly healthy 20 year old man died in police custody after being shocked with a taser. Another 36-year-old man died Saturday five days after an altercation with police who used a Taser to subdue him. Last month a Polish man was killed at Vancouver airport after being stunned up to 4 times.

Further questions have been raised over more frequent police use of tasers. The guns are supposed to be the last response before lethal action, however, we have increasingly reported cases where police use them without warning and in non threatening situations.

Amnesty International has said there have been about 300 deaths around the world after Taser use and has called for it to be suspended while a full investigation into the impact is conducted.

On Friday, a UN Committee said the stun gun "causes acute pain, constituting a form of torture ".

Despite this Antoine di Zazzo of Taser International says that no death has been attributed to the use of the gun and that the controversy is caused by misunderstanding of new technology.

When asked about the UN verdict on the weapons di Zazzo replied "You cannot call it real pain," and added that far from causing death, the gun "saves lives".

How long will it be before small flying saucer drones are zipping around our cities zapping people in order to "save lives"?

Very few people today in this day and age - very, very few are actually true individuals as such. We see teenagers who go through a stage where they think they want to be an individual and they are in a sense one by one trying to assert their own different personality, but you'll notice to be different they actually join a group never realizing that the group itself or the fashion that they wear or the symbols that they use and the behavior and the conduct is marketed to them from the top. So there's your paradox in trying to be different as a teenager. In reality, they want to be accepted by a peer group and so they conform to that group. Adults are not too much different. Plato himself said that morality and culture which is given by the top - what's right one day can be made wrong the next and vice versa. He said we can turn it upside down and the last ones to notice is the generation that's going through the changes they adopted so easily and casually and they think the idea somehow originated within them. Continued
